Even when taxis are readily available I still prefer Uber. UberX is cheaper than a cab for many thing and it's much less hassle. I get in, the driver drives, then I get out... no fumbling with cash or swiping cards, signing things, and

In your blog post you assert that "Gold and silver were valuable 2000 years ago and are still valuable" but you never explain why. What properties does gold and silver has that makes them valuable?

Phone screenings do not require signing an NDA (just a "we explicitly ask you not to share the questions you're asked"), but if they bring you on site you will be asked to sign one.

It's a trick because you set a 3D property on a style and _sometimes_ the the browser will use the GPU instead. We've actually seen browsers (Safari on iOS) turn off this implementation detail in same cases where it used to be ena

How often does a native developer "trick" their framework to trigger an implementation detail to get performance gains? That's really I can think about when I hear web developers talk about "hardware accelerated CSS"

I've never hidden that I interned at Path. The address book debacle happened long before I ever joined. The code you're talking about did little more than normalize phone numbers so it could be hashed _before_ it was sent to the server. It'

I'm well aware of what prompted the change to iOS. We talked about that last year. I'm not defending anything, but that's not really at issue today, though.

This comment is a great example of how people are so quick to rush to judgement with emotional reactions. Let's look at the facts: 1. Path was fined, not for anything involving address books, but for allowing 12 year olds to sign up for the

Path broke 10M users yesterday. It's likely someone was reading up on the company and found this... Sidenote: after the address book debacle people are pretty quick to jump to conclusions about what the fine was really for though.

There is support, but there is apparently a bug in some instances. YOu either need to type out the full repo name, or use the "quick open" feature. The bug has to do with the listing of certain repos.

Thank you for the feedback! I actually goofed up when submitting the app, and it went live before I was ready... so I ended up spending last night hacking together the website! What questions do you have? I'm happy to answer them.

I'm no stranger to open source, but can you please explain what a "hostile fork" is? Especially in this context, it just seems like diction for the sole purpose of making Google look like they were 'in the wrong' in that situation.

The problem with saying "Webkit is the new IE" is that IE was allowed to stagnate because it was a singular browser with a dominate position in the market. When that position was achieved, it was no longer necessary for the company maintain
