I've had to use it to configure Jenkins. In Groovy, variables are global if you forget to declare them with 'var'. This has caused so many concurrency bugs and so much sadness.

Conan is actually quite nice. I've been porting a series of projects to it and it's been a pleasant experience - Conan is very flexible, the documentation is thorough and the developers are very responsive on Slack/GitHub. h

I don't think that's the case. The article is comparing wildly different compilers (Visual Studio and LLVM) which are inevitably going to give very different results. Comparing Rust with clang would be a more interesting compariso
