I’m not playing the "which service is this show or movie on" game. The alternatives are still a better user experience than buying legit. I have one place where I go for everything and there are no ads anywhere, I'll pay for

I admit I don't know the software at that level but I think you would be surprised, it's a web server, db engine, and all sorts of things rolled up into it. This is commercial/industrial HVAC, it has more in common with emula

People that are downvoting, what am I missing? Developers either target apple silicon and ignore intel, ignore apple silicon and rely on rosetta2 for as long as that's here, or invest in both to optimize performance and just eat all th

Or even on a more basic level; people that manage their hydration probably overall manage their health better. For me it's a constant balance that's hard to find, am I thirsty and lips cracked or did I visit the bathroom six times

Niagara makes HVAC control software and there's a big push to get it Mac compatible. Seems like a terrible time to make the investment now with two architectures involved. Prolonging the transition isn't in anybody interest.

It isn't about RSS readers and article notifications, it's about all the other things being built on top of RSS like podcasting 2.0. All of these apps and their new features depend on RSS; https://podcastindex.org/

Nice, I wonder why they wouldn't surface that? Speculating they got it included in their CMS and decided they didn't want it.

Perhaps a little, people who knew had higher end options for plenty of things. Now with a inflationary recession ongoing I fear we are back to initial purchase price.

The downward spiral of shopping by purchase price. If it can be made cheaper it will sell and here we are. Commercial kitchen equipment is out there and available if you want it, designed to last. It will seriously cost you to get it though

Yes, we used these in data centers. They were not considered a battery replacement though, what they did was for areas of the world that take frequent and quick power loss events they allow the UPS system to ride through a small power loss

Snark for sure. But I wasn't aware if no tracking it's not necessary. Why do we need cookies for all these garbage sites anyway? I can understand anything requiring a sign in, but before you sign in do you really need this notice?

What really gets me is the dark patterns involved in Accept, or very much less prominent link to review preferences and uncheck all but what's actually necessary, and then OK.

That is crazy they would have a website that looks messed up to ~87% [0] of their potential audience. [0] https://www.statista.com/statistics/576473/united-states-qua...

Side note but I do not like that font Reuters uses, it feels like it is mixed case with the different sized characters even when it isn't mixed case. It's messaging me like comic sans.

epub; BookFusion. No mac app but the web reader might work for you. Sync reading position and notes between devices. I just read a lot of books and it works great for that. It even has a cablbre plugin used to upload books to it. https:&#x

Exactly, businesses need this thing to get out of the way and just remain consistent. Turns out there's a lot of people that want exactly the same thing and we are not getting it any more.

What are you using for a music replacement app? My library is 32GB now and I don't think I'm using any of the other itunes features these days, just using it as the path to sideload MP3s.

For UI yes, but I had way too much trouble with x64 driver support in 2000/XP. Win 7 nailed that and just seemed to work for me.

I take your point but I had way too much trouble with x64 driver support in 2000/XP. For me win7 was the one that got proper 64 bit driver support and "just worked" fine with a bunch of memory.

Real businesses will not put up with this nonsense and that's why LTSC exists. I'm also wondering if you can just run server editions.

I just don't have a mac, that's really the only issue here. I went out of my way years ago to try and wrap my head around itunes, all the (too many) things it does etc. They mess that up a bit with updates (not as bad as windows)

Might be by design. Plenty of buildings have a dedicated OA unit dumping into common areas and it gets pushed out to the private areas and individual rooms. Then gets pulled out via exhaust fans in rest rooms and other places.
