I suspect it's bad on purpose to force people to install the app.

I'll take this chance to recommend Blogtrottr as a perfect alternative to Google Reader, if used along with Gmail Reader.

The problem is not modern c++, it's only when c++ tries to be a functional language that it becomes unreadable. As I see it, there are multiple "sub languages" in c++: -Macros: use as little as possible. -Classic C: use only

This seems to be exactly what I was looking for a couple of months ago. I gave up when all the alternatives were either bad or too slow.

You sound like the kid in school that always asked "are we ever going to use any of this in real life?" in math class. Truth is I never needed to derive a function outside of school or college. Was learning about derivatives in hi

This is very similar to the sunrise problem. Laplace said the probability of the sun rising tomorrow is (k+1)/(k+2), where k is the number of days we know the sun has risen consecutively, if we always saw it rise, and if we don't

>the two have the same upper bound on their probability? Using only that information, yes. Replace the names of the two events with "event A" and "event B" and it doesn't sound so weird.

Essentially it's Bing for the web results. The other 399 sources seem to be for non web things.

It's very slow. Some filters are broken for me now. And some of the fonts used are ugly, but that's the least important thing.

Until 2015 my phone was A Motorola Razr i, which used an Intel cpu with x86 architecture, so it's not that uncommon. Also the PS4 uses today x86 for its main cpu. It's not mobile, but comparing it to Z80 is exaggerating a bit.

I searched "js unique array" and got pretty much similar results in Google and DDG. I think a lot of times when Google skips a word is simply because there is no webpage with the literal query.

I recommend blogtrottr for sending rss to your email. If you set a Gmail filter you get pretty much the same experience you had with Google Reader.
