Looks great. I love when people learn to code to meet their own needs. Congrats. EDIT: Great design. Are you a designer or did you use a template?

Great job! Looking back, you'll see that learning to code was one of the best decisions you made. One minor thing - it took me about 7-10 seconds to understand what your product is. I should be able to understand within 2 seconds. You shoul

Congrats to Jellyfish Art. I saw one sitting in my neighbor's window about a year and a half ago and was immediately in awe. On a separate note, I'm always excited when I see a new blog post from priceonomics. They always choose super inter

One thing Square continues to do right is design. Making a POS system sexy is not an easy thing to do.

I've been thinking this as well. However, if you don't have any siblings and none of your very old friends know anything about technology/startups, you're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. (me) My old friends are really smart a

We use Lockitron at the 500startups offices. It worked well most of the time. The few times it didn't work was very annoying and I had to rely on someone else to open the door for me (from the inside). As long as you have a secondary option

I was in the previous batch @ 500startups and I don't think any of the ~28 companies had a solo founder. Doesn't really answer your question but just an FYI.

Most of this article is true. Assuming you don't have anyone in your immediate circle to ask to join you as co-founder, it becomes exponentially more difficult to find someone that fits. I've been going through that right now with my startu
