You could use any of the plans depending on your situation.., they will all work in VSCode, so the question is how much usage you need and whether you want to pay for a subscription or directly for usage. If you’re actually asking this ques

I don’t think this holds for all tools in all situations. Sometimes the tools can do too much, especially when they start to do creative things.

That is one factor, but it’s not the whole thing. The other key element is “cognitive offloading” where your brain stops doing stuff when it thinks it is redundant. This is similar to the photo-taking impairment effect where people will rem

I think you have it set to the wrong mode. If you set it to Thinking with “Extended” thinking effort, is it slower but almost never wrong (because it searches the web to get verify all its assumptions and answers).

This is pretty wrong. Anyone who thinks this stuff is similar to NFTs and crypto hasn’t been paying attention.

This is close, but the real problem isn’t that the food is underpriced, it’s that the supply of ingredients is severely limited.

100% this. All the abstractions and OOP stuff make you end up with a codebase where half the code doesn’t actually DO anything in the product itself, it just connects to other code! It also becomes impossible to follow the flow of execution

I think Anthropic did the mythos announcement to undercut OpenAI’s upcoming next model announcement, not Meta’s.

Where is the astroturfing? From what I can tell it’s maybe the fastest growing product/company ever. Anthropic’s products have completely changed how software development gets done across the entire industry, especially in the past fou

I don't see why not, especially with computer use and vision capabilities. Are you talking about their lack of physical embodiment? AGI is about cognitive ability, not physical. Think of someone like Stephen Hawking, an example of havi

The thing is that the current models can ALREADY replicate most software-based products and services on the market. The open source models are not far behind. At a certain point I'm not sure it matters if the frontier models can do fas

This is not lying, that is just what run rate revenue means! It makes sense to use as a metric when a company’s user base is growing as fast as Anthropic’s is.

I think this is because when you shrink it down, the model ends up space constrained and each “neuron” ends up having to do multiple duties. It can stil be tuned to perform well at specific tasks, but no longer generalizes as well. It’s som

It’s not hypocritical at all. You can be a fan of a technology and still acknowledge its downsides. Every technology has places it is useful and places it is harmful.

Fun fact: because WFC is graph-based, you can do stuff like creating a graph where it uses time as a dimension, so you can create animations that “wrap” in time. In this rabbit example I made 8 years ago, the WFC solver ensures that the ani

Yes, the LLM writes the specs. In fact that LLM writes everything, and then the humans only flag anything they want changed, other than that it’s completely automated. Imagine you were working with a very talented software shop. You might t
