Given CSS rules, it would be simple using CSS light-dark() + variables instead of raw colors. I'm using Dark Reader since a long time now, but more and more often disabling it for some sites supporting HTML relatively recent additions.

Its link hovering effect is probably the worst I've seen for a long time, not to mention the fact that it just makes it unreadable.

Those who contributed to making you forget how to control your feeds are now asking you to contribute to their insane feeds control factory.

Yeah... schools ARE social places. Jobs too. Personal computers at home were NOT. That's the point.

That's something about low-level feminism that has been making me furious for the past 10 years. Because these people didn't even live through that era, when most women only started taking an interest in personal computers once th

The best period of my life as a programmer. I've never stopped feeling nostalgic for the demoscene of the 80s and 90s. When we used to fight between Amiguys and Atarists. The Amiguys always won, of course. In fact, there was no real po

Everything in "Elite: Dangerous" is about getting scales right, contrary to most of its concurrent games. That was amazing from the beginning for planets scale, to systems scale, until you realize it is also right at galaxy scale.

Demoscene has always been about hacking machines to make them do what they're not supposed to do. I made a "Star Wars" scrolltext once, on a so-called "bazaar" screen with other effects... but it was on ST, kind of

Halas, entanglement cannot be used for "instantaneous communications whatever the distance". This is a common misconception.

This kind of lazy lamer behaviour is so unlike Vulkan and hackers... Wait a minute. Where am I?

Whatever their positive or negative view, these posts about AI only make me sad here. Because AI relies on brute force. And at its roots, hacking is DEFINITELY NOT about it.

You should try to rewrite your article by stating "Ge2" ten times, and "Gr2" one time only.

Yes. People like to think in terms of 100% or 0%. Never anything in between. Even though almost everything falls somewhere in between. That's why I like bits and dislike q-bits, for example. The irony of my own statement dawned on me w

Wait… that's the specific question I had, because rendered text would require OCR to be read by a machine. Why would an AI do that costly process in the first place? Is it part of the multi-modal system without it being able to differe
