I have the data, just need to figure out how to filter it nicely. A bit annoying if you have a board with 5 ports with different speeds

Defining shared busses is not an easy thing to solve though sadly. ideally you can just get a nice block diagram for each board but we also don't have the data for that.

A pine rk3566 device with a camera? It's great to have more people working on imx219 though:)

I too did this exact thing with hardware instead of doing it in Linux. I used an t.racks DSP 4x4 Mini to apply my REW-measured room correction between my sound card and amp, also use it to generate the split for my subwoofer.

I wish Builder wasn't forcing me to use flatpak. It's the annoying gnome-ism on an otherwise great tool.

I got an odroid go super for porting postmarketOS but got stuck at not finding an actual kernel for the thing to build.

Rear sensor was chosen as a balance of kernel code available and picture quality, I had some influence there, front sensor was originally the ov5640 but that just got replaced due to availability.

This is just after I left. And after me saying (in not the public channel) that samuel is maintaining Tow-Boot, other developers are helping (like me) but that didn't matter.

There is not really any good options for the sensors, it's all a few closed developers.

The Pinecil works really great. Have been using it for a while now. The non-linux products from pine64 are pretty good.

There has been zero communication towards Tow-Boot developers during this process, nothing about the issues on the new batch. The moment Tow-Boot learned about this is when people received the new Pinebook Pro and it came with a different b

Well the issue with this happening in private telegram channels is that this will now turn into a "he said" "they said" situation, none of this happened publicly and neither side can provide sources. At the time the argu

I never said they didn't include SPI, it took an incredibly amount of arguing over several weeks to get it there on the PPP, then they again didn't want to ship it on the PBP. In the end the PBP does have SPI but still didn't

That just happens to be a side-effect of using Alpine as base distribution. If you really need something closed source it's still very easy to just use a flatpak for that.

With a bit of work a lot of this can be improved, Android likes to have userspace drivers while a bunch of that stuff is also already in the kernel, so postmarketOS uses kernel drivers.

I think it already is better than the PPP. Also the SDM845 is very very fast and a lot more power efficient compared to the current pine64 offerings. A few postmarketOS developers are working on improving the support for the SHIFT hardware

That wouldn't help because they're not picking master to ship, they're picking mailing list patches and unmerged or rejected Gitlab merge requests directly. If only they would ship master, that's at least somewhat sane.

It seems like in the end the pinebook pro did get the SPI chip on it, but then they flashed a closed source U-Boot to the eMMC instead which does not allow booting from SD. So it's again a complete pain for the other distributions to

In the case of manjaro which triggered this post, it's not that manjaro is fixing things. It's manjaro trying their absolute hardest to ship new features faster than the rest, even when those features are completely broken. Like t

I would like the process for android phones with postmarketOS to be easier. In the end for a lot of these devices you have to work around vendor weirdness. Luckily it seems like SHIFT Phones is actually improving the situation, they actuall
