I agree, there are a lot of apps that didn't take the developer more than 5 hours to put together. Earnings made by well made apps is probably much higher.

You can already play H.264 with hardware support using QuickTime on the Mac so there is no reason to use a Flash player. The only reason to use a Flash video player on all platforms is laziness.

Well, torrents are also rather complicated and people seem to cope with that as long as the software is usable enough. I agree that running a server that's available for 24/7 with enough bandwidth for video and images is a problem.

Not everyone has to run their own node. I believe the idea is that you can have people you trust run a node for you. But you're right, for most people this will be a big hurdle.
