You maybe consider about NVDIMM and persistent memory. But isn't available with consumer client products.

yep but Optane DIMM /NVDIMM is not for client product. It is on data center product list. Persistent Memory isn't just a concept on the textbook. It be realized now.

There is a bit difference between Optane and ordinary NAND SSD. Optane is PCM like memory, it is a byte addressable flash. So the sellman said it maybe have longer wearout time than normal NAND SSD. They cooperate with Micron to implement

If you think it's a bit odd. the reason maybe is : Another PCM like memory killer application is Persistent memory(pmem). If you only use PCM like memory to implement pmem, the demand is rare and it maybe isn't economic. But if yo

If you think PCM-like byte addressable flash for disk block caching is awesome, you may interest another PCM killer application - Intel persistent memory(pmem). They already implemented pmem and pmem doesn't just live in a textbook or
