With apologies for being the pedantic person, you're not really asking the AI in your pocket. You're just using the web browser on your pocket computer to compose a message to the massive AI system running in some datacenter somew

When I order anything off Amazon, which is more and more rare these days, I wish there was a shipping option of “let the workers go pee” or “donate 30 minutes off task to a worker” or “don’t penalize the driver”. I don’t need the speed. The

Just one data point, but I recently talked to a guy that bounces between being a mortgage broker and a tech worker. When the housing business is booming he switches to mortgage work, then when that slows down he jumps back into technology.

I hadn’t touched Gimp in five years or more but last month I had to slice up some large images for easier printing and Gimp rescued the project. I found it easy to use, mostly intuitive, the install was easy, the UI was snappy, and all of t

At one of the Open Source Conferences (OSCON) I saw Damian Conway use a tool like this (I believe it was asciinema) to give one of the best command line based demos I've ever seen. He was typing away like mad and not one typo! It was

Very well summarized. This really captures the dilemma. Did I mention every single Ethernet cable had to be cut to length and if any server moved all the cables had to be remade ? Lol. They finally hired a wiring company to do all that work
