Yeah, and for that matter, why would anyone partner with Facebook, when you could easily build another social network? I mean look at Google, they clearly pulled that off without a problem. Bitcoin is used and has value. The same could most

Bitcoin itself doesn't need PayPal, but the bigger picture here is that PayPal integrating BTC could boost awareness like few things could for the currency.

Wow, I expected to see Google Now integrated within Chrome somehow, but betting for the homepage is even bigger.

Wishful thinking, there's no way the price goes back to $30 at the moment. Not a chance. Maybe in the future, but not right now.

Frankly, I hate it when sites do this. I'm trying to read your article or find out about your product by myself, why would you interrupt me to ask for feedback or conduct a survey? Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty demo, but from an usabili

Odd, I would think most HNers have already heard of the top voted Jon Skeet answer. This is really old. Discussion is always great though, can't question that.

Absolutely, but a true p2p, decentralized Bitcoin exchange service has yet to happen.

It seems they were not aware that AWS exists. They should really consider hiring engineers specialized in scaling.

It's amazing how what is currently the largest Bitcoin exchange service can be so unprofessional. You would think they could have anticipated this.

People buy less, so those wanting to sell have to lower their prices, which makes others panic and sell at a low price, and there you go.

I was talking more about the ability to style specific log lines programmatically. So that one could have sql queries blue, redis commands red, etc etc.

Yes, but FirePHP was definitively not available for Chrome when ChromePHP (now Chrome Logger) first came out, and as far as I can see ( http://www.firephp.org/ ) it doesn't officially support it yet.

Actually if you implement logging extensively throughout your app, you might find you need to use xdebug much less. I used xdebug often before implementing ChromePHP, but nowadays I rarely do, since the vast majority of the issues are easy

Happy to see this here, been using ChromePHP for quite some time now. The only complain I have is how it lacks support for styled logs[1], since it could come handy to apply different colors to different segments of the logs when they sta

Honest question: why do you turn off js? it's usually very unlikely for js to be able do anything remotely malicious, specially with the sandboxed model of Chrome. I used to use NoScript with Firefox, but at some point I realized it was com

That would make for a very nice middle finger to Facebook if they pull this off (allegedly they attempted to acquire WhatsApp before) But $1 billion? I'm not sure if that evaluation is entirely justified. It has a pretty large user base, gr
