I like hierarchical note taking. I use Zim-wiki which is plain text and actually working with folders and text files. I wonder how this compares, I don't use vscode though.

>As far as tracking and ads... we’re all going to lose that battle fairly soon. The same tech we all praise as good for privacy is also great for data collection and advertising. Can you elaborate on this? I'd be interested to know

Thanks. I'm in the process of reading a JavaScript book: https://eloquentjavascript.net/ I think I need to look at event handling and like you say network requests. I'm trying to capture JSON responses that are lo

I'm paying £9 for 30GB but that also includes unlimited minutes and texts. So I'm pretty near the lowest in my country, UK. My only question is, who in their right mind is paying the highest?! I mean £52… WFT.

I've been using vendor selected software repositories since before apple called them an app store and started charging everyone to use theirs. Linux has had them for years and years.

That's true, I think they started looking at creating one but it never got off the ground. From my personal perspective I don't, and can't (I've tried), take decent notes on mobile. On the move I just use a jotter it

I like to take notes on paper however my notes are always messy. I'm not able to take notes on anything without having to go back and reorganise them, make sense of them, and add to them. Paper and pen (pencil in my case) are limited i

I use zim-wiki for my notes. Open-source and stores notes in text organised by folders. I like markdown but actually prefer the simple wiki syntax it uses. If they need to create a PDF I use pandoc and if I need to move a table to a spreads

Can I take in from the answers here that no one uses anaconda? I'm only a beginner and that is what I was told to use. It has environments too. Should I be using something else?

I wonder if this will be another arms race like adblocking now. The facial recognition companies find a work around to this and researchers find another work around, ad infinitum. Meanwhile I have the best solution to thwart all facial reco

The way Zim organises the notes really makes sense to me. I know you could do what Zim does manually and use built in Linux tools to accomplish most if not all its features but it's nice to have it all in one package.
