Thanks for the redlines on my writing. I'll make sure to incorporate these nifty tips into future correspondence. However, I think you can agree that you are being a bit extreme by saying that my post "contributed nothing to the c

What a large chip you must have on your shoulder. This is not even in the same ballpark of discussing gender differences in how brains function. This article is saying that even with certain portions of the brain missing, that other portion

This is what keeps me from taking them up on this offer. I would absolutely extend my T-mobile contract for 2 years to try this phone, but AT&T is a huge dealbreaker. Edit: spelling

I do understand the problem in "watching the watchers". My point is that the solution should not be to add more of the thing that caused the problem in the first place. If we do, then it just becomes a race to who can have the mos

I like that we are moving towards a state of affairs where police have to act appropriately in their position of power. However, I seem to be the only one who sees the irony in complaining about the NSA recording everything we do, and simul

You don't see any negatives to giving ubiquitous surveillance equipment to every government body?

It should be noted that this assumes that a basic level of income has been reached. While it's not usually a concern for the type of crowd that might frequent HN, it is a pretty big caveat.

Sure - but that's not the issue that people have with this. The issue is that Jawbone decided to release personal data (aggregated, but still personal) to people who did not own the data . Like I said above. . . it's not a data i

We don't know That's the whole point. The fact that they have this data means that they could share it with whoever they want, whenever they want. And we would never know. So in this particular case, it's not a data issue -

Nobody is saying that the technology is creepy. It's the fact that it's not at all private that's creepy. As Uncle Ben said, "With great power comes responsibility." It's an awesome thing to have the power of &

I think that focusing on the illusory party division is exactly the wrong approach to this. Both Democrats and Republicans are the problem, and both parties have essentially the same agenda. What needs to happen is the elimination of govern

Any kind of government is a beast that feeds on the fears of the weak and the abilities of the strong. Pretending that it is simply a machine that produces an output based on the input signal of the voters is disingenuous.

Government intervention is only required when "The People" want something, but won't stand up for themselves to get it. So instead they get their bully friend to force others to comply with their wishes.

My understanding of MVP is that you essentially sell a lack of features. Make something that does as little as possible that someone will buy, not selling something and then figuring out how to do it.
