The problem with the Polish jets was apparently that they planned to fuel and load them from a German airbase. It wouldn't really matter that the planes only were flown by Ukraine pilots. The German airbase would still be a legitime mi

When someone with a gun asks for the content of your wallet, you give it to them, and make sure you aren't unarmed next time you meet. When someone is trying to drag you away to enslave or rape you, you fight with everything you got.

That is exactly what is happening when you lack dynamic range. Say that your eye is sensitive from light intensity 0 to 100 in some units, but your camera sensor only handles 40 to 60. That means that everything under 40 will be mapped to b

In my experience, those that don't take any individual action rarely take any meaningful action on any other plane either. Either you get it and care, which means you do whatever little you can do yourself and work for changing the soc

We are currently paying quite much more than I'm used to, and our throughput is a small fraction. I don't mind managed servers, it just that we didn't use to need so much of it. Unix isn't that hard. And Docker container

I think that this is the problem. No one understands what is going on. So instead of trying to find the root cause of anything, they add another tool or another layer. And then we have 45 micro services running on a lot of expensive hardwar
