My issue is most people won't find it in bad taste to make this tongue in cheek article. If someone made an article "Remove Mexicans from a photo" most people would realise it's harmful. Baldness is mostly genetic and I

I live in a very heavily taxed nation and across the board, we are seeing all our government services degrade more and more. I pay over 50% direct tax and all our services are crying out for funding. The ability to fund these "good pub

It's not just misunderstanding papers, the entire social science field is in a replication crisis. A lot of people don't really want objective science and would rather push their agenda. Either that or they're simply incompet

I don't see anything wrong with wanting conditions attached to handouts, everyone has their own moral system. I see nothing wrong with helping support two children whose parents have been unable to earn due to injury / illness. If

I guess I don't try to "sleep on it". I just tell myself I'll tackle it another time and go to bed. I have amazing sleep hygiene and I tend to use one dream from a set of dreams to fall asleep. Somehow I still wake up an

This happens to me constantly with CS problems. I work on a problem at night, go to sleep and the answer suddenly comes to me when I'm driving to work.

One of my best friends, the best man at my wedding, nearly had this happen to him. He was born and raised in Australia but had dual citizenship with Denmark. During a gap year after school before university, he travelled to Denmark for 12 m

I'm the single parent who made that comment. It's so important to be an involved parent. Not just for the children but this is also your life. If I can't take the time to enjoy being a parent then why am I even a parent? Also

Are you a parent? I am, and every parent I've ever spoken to has said how difficult maintaining a relationship with your partner is when you have young children. If you make it so that your schedule means you never see each other than

I'm a single parent of two young kids. I go to bed with them (i.e. 7:30-8pm) and I wake at 4am. They tend to wake about 6am, this gives me a solid 1.5 hours of productive time and about half an hour of muck around time.

I'll disagree here as I'm naturally a night person but my current schedule is all early mornings due to my combination of work, study and parenting. It's not fun but I maintain it with discipline and it works out really well

That schedule might work for "parenting" but would be horrible for the relationship of the couple. People often try to view parenting solutions in isolation and forget that this is the lives of 3+ people we're discussing. It&

It's a big part of the reason I do a lot of jobs with my kids. I teach them how to cook, we grocery shop and I discuss how adults purchase things, I fold the laundry in front of TV with them, etc. My 4-year-old son has shown a lot of i

He is a huge risk taker, it is probably the reason he is rich now. All the people I know in my life who have the most wealth got there through risk and luck. It sucks because I know I am risk averse and I know I shouldn't be.

I'm in complete agreeance with this. I notice a difference in behaviour of "working class" vs "white collar" cultures but this difference isn't due to university, it's due to different cultures as adults.
