Building a proper rest API is pretty hard. I think I speak for many developers when I say that I limit myself to the most important core statements. For most applications, a simple API + HTTP + sensible url scheme is completely sufficient.

That’s actually cool news. I use Sentry in my private side projects and I quite like it. But at work, deploying another service that we would have to maintain was never an option. So an integrated Sentry backend is actually pretty helpful.

Yes, thats definitely right. But you could also switch to a paid service, that is caring about you and your data. Then you still need to trust that service and the people behind it, but it may be better than Google and co. I use Protonmail
