Note that I can’t see the article because of the paywall. > The proposal here is about people with 8+ figures in personal wealth. That's not the typical small family business. Depending on how it’s set up, “personal wealth” includes

I suspect we’re confusing two or more concepts here - publicly traded companies versus corporations with a single majority shareholder, and perhaps more, like small and multi-generational family businesses. In most of those circumstances, “

That’s actually fairly “cheap”, if it’s covering more than one person. For a brief period I lived in Virginia and had no medical coverage through my employer. The legal minimum coverage was $1,400 / month for my family of four... and i

There is no generally “business license” in Arkansas. Some municipalities require them (but have very limited means of enforcing that requirement), and some specific occupations require licensure, but unless you fall under one of those narr

Serious question - since Ohanian has publicly stated that he urged the board to replace him with black candidate, is there a possibility that could face an EEOC charge? Perhaps this doesn’t apply, as there may not be “applicants” depending

I admit I hadn’t read your comment when I posted a sibling to it. I agree with you. I think successful healthcare tech companies go through a growth stage first where the key is a solid basis in the healthcare field. Engineering experience

I’ve worked at three healthcare startups so far, and have researched dozens to decide if they were somewhere I wanted to work. My intuition is that healthcare is a field that is fundamentally at odds with the tech community mantra of “move

That's... silly. I carry a gun, too, but I don't go around arbitrarily forcing my will on others. The difference is "qualified immunity", not weaponry.
