You (1) use binfmt_misc to tell the kernel to use `qemu-ARCHITECTURE` to run binaries for that architecture, then (2) make sure you also have all of the libraries that the binary is linked against, then that binary executable should just ru

One very cool thing that you can do with it is to use binfmt_misc to tell the kernel to use `qemu-arm` to run ARM binaries, then you can chroot in to an ARM device's filesystem from your x86 workstation, and all of the ARM binaries jus

It is my understanding that while git was unaffected, the source release tarballs were. Distro packages tend to prefer the source release tarballs to doing git checkouts. I know that FreeBSD's webmin package was affected.

It's not meant to be a substitute for humans reviewing patches. It's just meant to catch things new contributors are likely to try to use, and give them feedback on it before they send the patch to the mailing list.

The way I see the list is that it isn't meant to be exhaustive, it's meant to be functions that contributors are likely to try to use. A new contributor might not realize that they should be using Git's internal strbuf.h ins

There is an 'input' user group, which gives you access to raw mouse, keyboard, joystick, et c. under `/dev/input/`. (I'm sure you could configure udev to use more more granular user groups for different types

I have one too. Because the body of the keyboard doesn't cut off where the keys end, and supports so much of your wrist, you don't notice that it's so thick, the "desk surface" is just that much higher.
