For workers, free is 100k hits per day and 10ms of CPU per hit. KV is 100k reads, 1k writes, 1k deletes, 1k lists and 1GB storage. The subscription is 5 USD a month, including 10M hits at 30ms each, 10M w, 1M r, 1M d, 1M l, and also 1GB. On

Rust executors don't have real preemption, sadly. I'd love to have in Rust what the BEAM has for Erlang, block all you want, the rest of the processes (tasks) still run in time. Also, the IO and the execution being completely tied

   by LtdJorge 2y ago

Well, yes. But it means you can do sync non-blocking IO by hand.
5. 335.▲
   by LtdJorge 2y ago

Depends, on Linux you can call set_nonblocking on a TcpListener and get a WouldBlock error whenever a read would block. That's called non-blocking.

For tighter integration. For example, pip in Python is very different from Cargo in Rust o $whatever in C and C++. They are purpose built and integrate better with the language and tooling.

Encoding a single image with the CPU takes nothing compared to modern video codecs.

Yes, in Spanish vulgar is used as inappropriate. We have "el vulgo" (el pueblo, the people), which kinda teaches you the correct meaning, popular, unrefined. But "vulgo" is seldomly used.

So is it taking inputs from a player and simulating the gameplay or is it just simulating everything (effectively, a generated video)?

A parser with Chumsky. There’s a lexer with logos too, but that’s simple and fast. Chumsy makes you create parsing functions which are chains of other parsing functions, and the types can become insanely long, if you don’t box some of them

Yeah, there's also the: charging everytime in the 9m mode, how long does it last? Or, how much energy do you have to put in? Because the charging efficiency and lifespan change when the input voltage changes.

I think you mean block_on. Spawn blocking would be for your first use case, calling sync from async.

This is good advice for overclocking, but how does it help with the 13th/14th Gen issue? The issue is not due to clocks, or at least doesn't appear to be.
29. 359.▲
    by LtdJorge 2y ago

It's due to the stacked cache being harder to cool and not supporting as high of a voltage. So the 3D CCD clocks lower, but for some workloads it's still faster (mainly ones dealing with large buffers, like games, most compute hea

I meant it as in having a CI system that relies on Docker or whatever container image system. You submit a build via some config files, the build farm builds the image and extracts the built binaries into a repo/binhost/S3, and yo
