I'm a lead mod of a 1.5M+ sub and we maybe remove 1-2 bits of spam per week. Usually the very few that do get through our filters are quickly reported by the users and are removed long before it gains traction I realize giving reddit m

I’ll add my personal experience as a long-term lead mod of a subreddit for a specific video game. Broadly, I view subreddits are two camps: 1. Popcorn subreddits — r/pics, r/funny , r/twitterScreenshots 2. hobby & employm

Yes, this is the most fair solution if you’re looking to have a presidential election outcome more likely to represent how people actually voted. But 5000 is arbitrary— and the more you add, the closer the number is to how people actually v

You should also be opposed to the electoral college then. The electoral college vote count is still based on population counts. The electoral college accomplishes none of the goals of republic style voting you’d like, nor the direct popular

It doesn’t really do that though. All the electoral college does is make presidential campaigns hyper focus on swing states. You don’t see many presidential candidates stopping over in Vermont.

I view the electoral college system as the canary in the coal mine for voting changes in America. No honest person who is informed about how the electoral college works thinks it’s fair. There are so many possible bad outcomes of it and the
