That is what the person above describes when they say they want to be injected with nano-bots to be converted. And that would, I believe, give a seamless transition with no break in the stream of consciousness. However this is completely di

It's he same problem as teleportation (star trek teleportation specifically) They scan you, break you down, then transmit and create a new you. Now if you re-order this a little. Scan, transmit, create and then break down the original. The

I am really liking the new website, I like the "I would just prefer to make an account" to get around facebook/twitter. I would prefer it to be the default, but I'm really happy you've included that for people who don't have either. As a si

Was going to comment, then found out I couldn't comment without logging into one of several services. I am getting tired of not just being able to comment anywhere without having to login to something.

Upon seeing this I immediately tried Half life 3, expecting some sort of easter egg. I was disappointed by the lack of one. I realise the joke is overplayed, but it would have been funny.

Or he meant, "this is a literally perfect example of what the phrase "comparing apples to oranges" represents." You know, I think that's what he actually meant. In fact, you knew that to and so did everyone else.

It's not nutty, it's what hacker news does. After getting down-voted a certain amount you get hell-banned. Your posts are still posted, except only people with "show dead" enabled see them. Before that however you just get throttled and the

I understand this point and it is a good one. But do people really click on ads that much? I didn't even realise that they registered for people. They must or it wouldn't be a profitable system. Strange.

Potentially because you got down-voted a tonne and are on the verge of being hell-banned. Test this by logging out and see if it loads quickly again. If so, then yeah, you're being artificially slowed down. Edit: I actually just noticed it

Do you oppose automated hell-banning here? It has lead to people being hell-banned for inoffensive things, the worst I've seen is someone hell-banned because their double post got such a large amount of down-votes.

Your just being facetious and you know it. This company is clearly trying to piggy back off of the success of the Ville game series, their art for the advert as shown in the article is clearly trying to imitate Zynga's art. Although the oth

Honestly, I think calling your game <x>-ville with Zynga around is just asking for trouble. It's not like the Notch Scrolls trademark issue where it's a bit iffy as to whether it is misleading. Using ville as a suffix right now real

Android is already much easier to select text with. The arrow under the text that you drag is just so much easier than the magnifying glass that is just cumbersome and awkward to use.

I'll be disappointed if they back out and never show it at 48 fps, because I would be interested in finding out if it really does look like crap at that setting.

I completely agree with him, the best tutorials I've ever had for languages were ones that had me make something I might use. My first experiences were in c++ and that had me making little games in the command line. I eventually took it upo
