But with the long scale the prefix matches the number if 10^6 multiplications (with an extra factor 1000 for -ard).

Not exactly, the generations have been renamed, so the first two are called USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 and USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 respectively. There is no such thing as USB 3.2 Gen 2. But yes, they should have just had the version determine the gen, so a 3.

It seems to be pervasive for people to grossly overestimate the savings they can get, looking e.g. at how MPEG-4 TV channels are generally lower quality than MPEG-2 channels. And the biggest HEVC torrents are at most less than half the size

Of course it's not impossible, they could do it if they wanted to, but that's not what would happen. That's not how anyone does it. Inevitably they would add ads at approximately the current price, and raise the price of the

Yes, sorry, I meant "why". Quite an annoyance for those of us who idly highlight stuff while reading. I hadn't heard of Kagi. I haven't found meta search engines like Duckduckgo to give me as good results as Google (or a

What does W22 mean? It's not the current week. I see similar things on all the "hiring" posts here, W or S followed by a two digit number.

It's not "a few bucks", it's like $12 a month, more than most streaming services, for the privilege of having it not pause the video when you lock the phone. Which it shouldn't be doing in the first place. Also this

No, 12:00:01 AM being a second after noon (i.e. 12:00:01 after the start of the before-noon) is the only one that makes sense. You can't just swap out the reference point and keep counting, that's just as moronic as claiming 1
