Microsoft got attacked for Embrace, Extend and Extinguish. Saying "for bundling an internet browser with their OS" is a massive understatement. They forced manufacturers to not only bundle their browser but would seize working wit

Hackintoshes break the TOS last time I checked. Some stuff can be built for Macs from Linux, stuff like the Godot game engine supports this. It is however a guess if they're going to allow that build or not.

Blender already has a solid and enthousiastic user base before the 2.7 UI update. Blender was also the forerunner in having a kickstarter-like scheme to raise enough money to make it opensource. There's an interesting interview between

Why not just use Youtube-dlg? Does everything it needs to and doesn't require you to use electron.

We're talking about 200 developers here. If you truly have such a large corporation you would just host your own gitlab instance, right?

The title is slightly misleading, the Ender-3 (touted as the new best cheap printed) is not the first open source 3D printer. Nearly every printer is based on a type of RepRap printer which kind of started the original boom. You can find a

Do you have a source for that? Because I can't really find a figure. Genuinely curious.

Having used pages and word, please don't tell people to use Pages for everything. It doesn't have the features you need when you're creating more complex documents. Last time I've used it it didn't even allow you to

I never really felt why I should log in to download free apps. I hate how software has to implement their own update mechanisms when there's a native alternative solution built in to the OS. Which is a shame since I love using package

I love the product you work on. Partially hijacking your comment to say that an easy way to get the original assets in openrct 2 is to install the gog version through wine or play on Linux. Have played it a bit too much to say the least...

If you go up the comment chain you can see a user saying > I believe it requires Windows Media Play on all playback devices. So in order to watch all the streams in your house you'd have to use WMP.

True being a Linux or OSX user makes you a smaller target, if you're personally targeted you're usually SOL. It's also hard to deny that OSX is becoming more and more of a target.

While I agree that the headline is inflammatory (and kinda stupid) we shouldn't forget about its key message. That is that a MacOS computer isn't completely secure, just like windows. I've seen a ton of MacOS users who would
