The normal key layout with its irregular (within an octave) gaps allow one to play blind without having press and hear where you are with your fingers. Would be interesting to add braille or similar haptic markers on the keys to compensate

That is compatible with my statement: Not all concurrency is parallelism, but all parallelism is concurrency.

yes, some people swap the meaning of concurrency and asynchrony. But, almost all implementations of async use main event loops, global interpreter lock, co-routines etc. and thus at the end of the day only do one thing at a time. Therefore

Concurrency is parallelism and/or asynchrony, simply the superset of the other two. Asynchrony means things happen out of order, interleaved, interrupted, preempted, etc. but could still be just one thing at a time sequentially. Parall

By asking that question you are making an assumption which is likely misguided. Instead, take a step back and ask: What group of people will fare better? What will they have in common? Will they even form an organization? You assumed these

> Why bother developing chatbots Maybe it is the reverse? It is not them offering a product, it is the users offering their interaction data. Data which might be harvested for further training of the real deal, which is not the product.

I think caring and competence do correlate. If you do not care about something you are not going to become competent. And once you are competent you are also more likely to care: E.g. once you learn a music instrument, or a craft, or the ar

Yes, pretty much. I don't say the custom engine first path can't work, heck I did ship my own games on custom engines first myself, but it is probably not the path of least resistance.

Made me realize that most of the games I really enjoyed have their own custom engines (made for a single game or franchise): Starbound, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Factorio, RollerCoaster Tycoon, Empire Earth, The Sims, Project Zomboid ... O

Not to downplay what a huge achievement this is and how far the field of medicine has come, but ... this still leaves a slight bitter taste in my mouth: If they edit specific genes one way they can also do the opposite direction. And if I u

Sure, you can write all kinds of stuff in a license, but it is simply plain prose at that point. Not enforcable. There is a reason why it is generally advised to go with the established licenses and not invent your own, similarly to how you
