Tons of people have subscriptions to apps like YouTube, Calm, Sports apps, etc and many of them purchase in app.

I ended up replacing my YouTube time with more Hacker News, so I'm really hoping dang decides he wants a Ferrari and starts to put some ads on HN.

This is AWESOME! Fantastic, fantastic job. Any possibility of making it open source? Do you have a donation link? Would love to send a few bucks your way as a thank you. Currently working on memorizing the intervals and this will be super h

Yeah Bard is terrible. Get a subscription to cursor.ai and use gpt-4. It's a bit pricey at $20 a month but totally worth it.

What's your goal in learning Python? ML? Backend web dev? Leetcode? Hard to recommend a course without more detail.

Yeah I was ignoring Sutskever since he recanted his support pretty quickly. But that's fair, fixed.

The entire criticism of LLMs is that they're amazing at recall and bad at reasoning. The discovery OpenAI could've made might've been on techniques to teach LLMs reasoning. That would be very big.

...are you still been unable to realize that it was really just a politically motivated firing? The example of "lack of candor" that Ilya provided was "Altman was said to have given two people at OpenAI the same project."

> Now they are trying to unring the bell but cannot. Well, they can unring the bell pretty easy. They were given an easy out. Reinstate Sam (he wants to come back) and resign. However, they CONTINUE to push back and refuse to step down.

Well, my suggestion is to avoid using terms with multiple meanings in a position where it can easily be construed in a different way then you intend.

What happens when overzealous bureaucrats want to extend this to other areas? (Convicts must have cars monitored, You pay an extra carbon tax if the GPS tracker sees you drove over 40 miles in a single day, yada yada)

Spend 2 mins on Twitter and look at the accounts of every engineer at OpenAI. It's obvious that this is his way of saying he's back. Lol hacker news is honestly so exhausting these days...

If you've been following the news cycle for the past 2 hours, then it's obvious that his meaning with this tweet is that he's returned to OpenAI. There was a hangup over a 5 pm deadline but looks like the board gave in.

That analogy doesn't make sense here since all the employees at OpenAI are extremely loyal to Sam. It's just the board that wanted him out. And regardless of what happens here, everyone on the board is 100% getting fired.
