Just a suggestion, I'm not a subscriber but am investigating the service: Kagi might come close to that. You can up or down rank sites too boost their visibility in your searches. Would take some time to get going but eventually I thin

Can confirm, I couldn't get over how clean my teeth felt the first time I used an electric toothbrush in adulthood. The vibrating rattled my skull at first though, that took a few sessions to get used to haha.

Well there's a surprise, my hygienist and dentist always encourage flossing, and anecdotally my gums are way happier (no bleeding or puffing) when I'm flossing daily compared to when I'm not. I guess it could be that however

I can sympathize, it was a huge jump for me coming from C# land, and I see this sentiment repeated a bit for newcomers so it might be the nature of the beast. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for an MVP if someone isn't already

Honestly I continue to be amazed with each year of developments. The increased robustness of the greater Elixir ecosystem is unreal. The best part to me too is despite how active it all is, progress overall is very measured and sane. It als

Well that depends a bit on what the MVP needs to be. Anything web related I'm probably going the Elixir/Phoenix route. I'm no web dev, but this combination makes me actually kind of like doing web-things with how batteries in

For me, I've developed this workflow where I'll use Sublime or VSCode for active development, then Notepad++ for one-off files, or as a kind of on-going scratchpad. There's no reason I couldn't use the other editors the

Interesting, thank you for the context. My company's current system is simpler in nature I think (three web servers processing internal and external requests, one DB server, one app server handling everything else, and that's our

Just curious, I'm not into Rails or Ruby at all, but given an established codebase, what's the reasoning for a big move like that? My org is doing a similar shift (C#, the legacy .NET Framework -> Elixir) and while I quite like

Same in Canada, around 2017-18. My college program actually had several mainframe development with COBOL courses which were very interesting.

Wow, that's gotta be the nicest looking and most functional date picker I've ever seen. Date pickers are normally so hit or miss imo but this one is a hit out of the park.

Well that is unfortunate. I would not want to be in Simula's position, I'm sure they've got enough on their plate without having to deal with stuff like this that they barely have an impact on in the first place. I understand

i3 really is the killer feature for me. I'm on an M1 Mac for work, and I wouldn't say MacOS is a dumpster fire, but I'm really missing i3. There are things I've tried that get close but it's not the same.
