Wait... you bought the book and still got ads? That's unacceptable. Ask for a full refund and never ever buy anything from that company again.

Like I said, they will have to make one under government pressure, but I bet you they won't publicly release it.

What makes you think a telco will ever do a publicly accessible post-mortem after an outage? They will probably have to do one under government pressure, but it'll be so heavily NDA'd that no one will ever read it.

I don't want to turn it off, but it should obey the volume setting if headphones are connected (your phone can detect that). But I guess this is vendor specific, in my case it was a Samsung S9, maybe other vendors implement it differen

I discussed this recently here on HN [0], the fake spinner is a dark-UI to 'punish' you for opting out. If you just accept the popup disappears immediately. [0] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=20131381

I think it's due to modern stuff such as UEFI and the TPM. There are hacks you can do to flash the BIOS from Linux though, but I always fear bricking my laptop, so I prefer to use the OEM tool.

Site is down, but judging by the photos on Flickr, there were some really weird and unusable (?) keyboards on display. Are these considered art or experiments? Or do people have actual use for things like 20-key layouts?
