As a cautionary tale to others, in case they don’t want to be blocked by him, it might make them pause and consider before putting into writing any extremely mild criticism, on Twitter.

I wasn’t following him and don’t mind about that. I think people have every right to block people without that person reaching out on other ways — I’ve seen people demanding explanations etc and in those cases as in this case, you know wh

Not something I’m going to dig into, sorry. People have every right to block others, without giving any explanation and I support that side of it completely. It stood out from my pov because there’s very very few times I’ve noticed I’m bloc

He’d burnt the bridges himself long ago. I was already aware, from things he’d said about me, that he was not a person I would ever do business with.

Can’t read what he says as I was blocked years ago. I had expressed the mildest degree of cynicism one can possibly express in response to a straight up lie.

Nice ideas and good work. I’ve put down various ideas and links about constructing and testing knowledge graphs here https://wiki.secretgeek.net/dependency-graph-for-knowledge Good luck with what you’re doing.

I generally list this as my favorite book. Have read it god knows how many times. Recently found an audio version read by Vonnegut himself - originally released on vinyl. It was great to hear him tell it, though it is quite abridged. A diff

Several comments take issue with that same quote but fail to grasp the context: it was his naive dream-self who had this thought. > But in the dream, I was staring at this equation as a mathematical beginner, completely befuddled by the

Author here. In dos on dope, .bat files are used for actions that handle http GET, and .cmd files are used for actions that handle http POST. Btw I did live through that transition. (?)

Cheers I haven’t seen or heard of “bash on balls” before. From what I can tell Dos on Dope (Sept 2010) predates Bash on Balls (Jan 2011).

Valid point. If I just changed any mention of "Controllers" to "CONTRO~1" (both in the tutorial and in the code) -- it would work just fine. Maybe after 10+ years it's time for a patch. But not today.

I don't know if it was ever "edgy" but I wrote it in 2010. And it wasn't so much a parody of MVC, but very specifically of Ruby on Rails.

I found that (even back in 2010!) “edlin” wasn’t available on my laptop. And since I was coding this on the bus (without internet) I couldn’t download/find some legacy way of running edlin. I opted to gave an example of “copy con” and

And similar to the n word - some Greeks and Italians have taken the word and used it themselves with pride. I’m conflicted about this but happy for my friends who can do it. I certainly don’t think anyone else should use the term.

It’s good to gather things now and record metrics that are meaningful. SLOs will come later. Or, if you create SLOs now expect you’ll have to create whole new SLOs when things begin. But in the meantime you can get slick ci/cd, unit, i
