The hunt for aliens suddenly cropping up in the nytimes has the feel of a distraction. The video itself felt like one of those old bigfoot vidoes. I want to believe in aliens as a huge fan of star trek (TNG is best :) ), but I feel skeptica

The government will embrace Bitcoin, but not as a currency (unless we end the Federal Reserve and/or shift back to the gold standard).

Its a time of political upheaval worldwide. Nationalists are rising or at least becoming more vocal in at least Britain, India, United States, Austria, Germany, Korea, and Japan. They are direct threats to the established status quo. Censor

Not a good implementation, this feature should be been far more explicitly stated in some sort of alert rather than buried. This is something that is burning the good will towards apple. Something that is in shorter supply since the days of

EFF has proven to be an ineffectual organization. They bungled NN(infuriating me to no end), and proven partisan at every turn, which would not be a problem if they were successful. But its clear we need a nonpartisan group who can success

I don't see the problem in pinking stuff. If that's the social cue to make tech okay for a large majority of girls, what's the harm. Most people seem to want to be male or female. The more options the better, I think. We nee

Susan Fowler is a great person but this reeks of a clickbait agenda. She is important but Xi, Bezos, and Musk are radically changing the face of the world in a much much greater capacity. EDIT: Musk has the hyperloop, tesla, spacex. These ar

It's not really technology pushing people into cities is it ? I assumed its really due to a lack of well paying jobs, combined with an increased debt burden from college. I guess one could argue technology has lead to increased automat

A "merged" singularity will lead to a non biological singularity ? I don't think I understand.

It might just take one genius like Albert Einstein to create a new paradigm, so I could believe it happening sooner rather than later with the more people are working on it. I suppose it depends on your view of the theory of scientific revo

Well drones have really captured the imagination of the public this time, and we have very public and popular tech leaders warning the public about AI. Combine that with the 24/7 media clickbait cycle, I think we have a unique situatio

I agree, its definitely due to a Sam's bubble/filter. Its way way too generalized for the general population.

I'm not convinced on the "merge" happening. I fear humans cling to that idea, because we want a biological part of our selves to pass on. I expect a technological singularity to supplant/replace biological life completel

I bought the kindle version last night based on your link, and finished reading it this morning. Its a real WTF wakeup call. This quote really stuck out to me. "In the pay-per-page view model, every post is a conflict of interest."
