Much has been made about the Russian oil & gas situation and how it affects the prices of every product or service produced downstream of it. Here's something you might not know. Russia produces 86 billion tons of wheat, Ukraine 25

How about we amend the analogy. You're not allowed to sell unpasteurized milk. Many say unpasteurized milk is better, and healthier. Others say it's dangerous. We (FDA) have collectively decided that despite its health benefits we

I was never allowed to play D&D back in the 80's. My mom believed witchcraft existed and I was never able to convince her otherwise after a lifetime of arguing and so many psychological strategies. She recently died, taking her ign

It's more than just the environment. The more engineers & scientists you have, the faster you can build it. The more people you're willing to crush beneath your wheels, the faster you can build it.

Yeah this is how I understand it. The goal for Putin is to steal as much as possible while he still can from the only people in the world who believed in him, the people who invested in Russian securities over the past two decades.

Don't hold your breath waiting for that UN "peacekeeping force" anytime soon. The head of the UN Security Council is Russia.

Before WoW there was EverQuest. I personally felt EverQuest was more compelling than WoW. Sure WoW was "better" but it didn't have the same magic as EverQuest did. EverQuest motivated me to go all the way to the highest level

Democracy is not a criminal state. That's nihilism. Nihilism tells us to let criminals off the hook and not hold them accountable, because of course they're part of a criminal state, "the government". But that's jus

The Windows logo has a gradient on it now instead of plain white. The corners of all windows are now rounded, (but they've had rounded corners before so not that new). The tiles are finally gone, and that's growing on me. The Sett

You can change it back to left-aligned. It was the first thing I did after upgrading. After that, the only difference on the taskbar is the Windows logo now has a gradient on it whereas in Windows 10 it was just a plain white logo. As for t

It's an Eocene mosquito. Dinosaurs were already extinct. Notable about this period is it was the last time there was no ice at the poles and water covered a lot more of the earth, as you can see from the map of the Eocene: https:&#x2F

It's too late to listen to it for the first time in 2021. You had to listen to it in 1963, or with that frame of mind, because before then there was nothing else like it. Everything after was influenced by it. And now it's normal.
