Maybe we should do the opposite. Maybe we should all create thousands of Facebook accounts, with randomized profiles that promote random articles and AI-generated comments. Then that program runs on your machine whenever you're not usi

There are more reasons to junk a story than just fact-checking. It could be that the story has already been covered sufficiently. That there is nothing new it. That it is only of interest to a certain group of people who just want to wallow

This tool is like a flashlight for the Internet. It reveals the location of all the cobwebs. At the same time, there are admins out there that don't like you shining lights in their windows and they will ban you for it. Everyone knows

I remember when I was a teenager and wondering what life would be like at 50. Now I know. You feel exactly the same, only with less time left. You're still you. You still feel the same. You still want to experience all the same things

I've tried and tried but I've never found a situation where explicit lifetimes was the answer. It's almost always more complex than that. I mean, everywhere that is complex enough that implicit lifetimes don't work is al

When they talk about "shift work" they're referring to the way the taxi industry works. The reason the taxi industry works that way is because most drivers drive company cars which are owned & maintained by the company. D

Even if there was some sort of budgetary problem, it seems logical that services that are explicitly required by the Constitution, such as mail and census, would have precedence over those that are not.
