I think the reticence to promote masks is that there's not enough of them. It's getting better, but if a month ago they had said "everyone has to wear a mask" it would have been a panic as people can't get hold of t

I had a laptop at my previous job, now a desktop. If you have to do a demo in a different room, it's a pain. Your best bet is usually to use another laptop. Same thing if you want to have a call in a quiet place and want to check ema

I think one part is that they're afraid to be grilled by reviews leading to bad sales. A $1000 4" phone won't have the same capabilities as a $1000 6.5" phone, and reviewers somehow do not seem to understand it might be

In line with your comment, I would say the biggest issue here is not that some companies that probably shouldn't have received the funds did. It's that a lot that should have didn't. Of course though, given limited resource

I thought it would be an issue as well at first, but it has really rarely been an issue. The performance degradation might not be even, but generally it approximates pretty well a slower system, without having to use a slower system in my e

It's funny, because I do the exact opposite. As a developer I usually have a pretty powerful machine, and I've found that debug mode is a good way to approximate slow computers, and something that is unbearably slow in debug will

It's just you focus more on the parts that are relevant for the job. Unless you're fresh out of school, you likely have more experience than what can fit on a CV. However most of it is at best tangentially relevant. So you reduc

You need at least a new PCB, an updated firmware/kernel, updated software. It's not trivial. Having work with hardware, I highly doubt you can pull that through in 2 months. As for manufacturing, they might have all the componen

Why is it not surprising? The processor should definitely be up to the task. Just market segmentation? I'm not an Apple expert, but it does not seem like something they do.

I don't think it was ignored, it just wasn't possible in most places. As far as I know, most countries are ramping their testing facilities as fast as possible, some are just more effective or had a head start.
