I would say one of the tenet of the Bible and other holy books is that there are immutable. It's the words of God, and he doesn't make mistakes. (In theory at least, I've heard the Bible's translations haven't alway

You've never been to Switzerland if you think there are no drug dealers there. I don't know about heroin, but there are something like 3/4 Swiss cities in the top 20 for cocaine consumption based waste water sampling.

Not an American, so feel free to correct me. It seems to me that there are already plenty of laws that breach the 1st amendment if you interpret speech as absolutely any speech (e.g. death threats, libel, ...). And it is constitutional beca

I don't know, look at Europe, quite a few places have managed to do quite a bit more than flattening the curve. At the current rate, reaching even 50% of the population would take decades, hopefully there will be a vaccine well before

Not an insider, but as far as I know, it's mostly their fab that failed. They're still on 14+++nm when AMD is on 7nm, with 5nm coming soon. You can have the best architecture in the world (no idea if they have) and the best engi

A highly skilled person can only thrive in the right environment. As an extreme example, take the best programmer in the world, and send him back 500 years in the past, he's probably not going to be very productive. (The counterpoint t

Well if one async cycle takes 1 day due to timezones, that 11 vs 14 cycles becomes not negligible.

It can be quite useful when replying to each point though, you can quote each one independently since they're not merged into one big blob of text. Not saying it's impossible otherwise of course, just slightly more convenient.

Not offer their market freely, but make it competitive, yes.

I disagree, it's a market. If you allow 3rd parties to sell something, you create a market. That market should be free and competitive. If you want to keep it a service, don't allow 3rd parties in.

I think capping fees would make it even worse, it would entrench the practice as acceptable. Allow sideloading and the price should move towards the equilibrium price. Which very well might be 30%, since Google manages this despite allowing

It started at least 4/5 years ago, Rust 1.0 had just been released. I don't think it made sense to use Rust back when they started. It wasn't mature enough for such a big project.

Yeah, I don't really know, I'm not a lawyer. At the same time, it makes kinda sense. No company with a product has to allow competition in. GM doesn't have to allow BMW motors in their cars. When you join a market with a prod

Higher education is a pretty low percentage of the population in Switzerland, so I'd say it's not surprising given the number of high technology companies. As far as I know, some specialisations are simply not found at all (e.g. a

You don't really need to know which one is which (and if the counterfeit one is perfect, does it even matter?). But if you have 2 bills with the same SN, then you know someone is creating perfect counterfeited bills.
