Doesn't the money has to go back into the "real" economy at some point, i.e. fill a need besides having a bigger number in the bank account/Forbes list? Or are the recipients of all this wealth already so rich they don&#

Do you think it can be done? I mean realistically, not theoretically? I see this as far too demanding for everyone, and far too short for viable alternatives to come up to be a realistic target. On the other hand, this year has shown that p

I don't think it's an issue on iOS, Apple is able and willing to update old devices if needs be. My 5S still receives the odd security update in iOS 12 from time to time (basically when something really big comes up). If it would

I assume this is something which is going to be very region/industry dependant. I have done the exact same thing multiple times, never had an answer. When they answer "no, we want you to give a number first", I'm at lo

There's a lot to be said about France and other European powers treatment of their colonial troops, but North Africa certainly wasn't the main provider of soldiers. From Wikipedia: "At the end of the war on November 11, 1918,

I have a hard finding new fantasy books these days, because the synopsis are so boring. It usually goes "Yada yada presentation but bigger picture (usually about how the fate of the world is at stake and only the hero can save it)"

Companies have other concerns than the immediate revenues though. Consumers are very sensitive to price fluctuations, it might makes sense short term to raise the price when demand outstrips supply, but consumers will remember the companies

But the bootloader is already open as far as I know, the real issue is drivers. You probably can't force them to write the drivers for other OS, but you could presumably force them to document the hardware.

Rail infrastructures are massively subsidised though. Apparently subsidies for rail in Germany were €17B in 2014.

That's a general issue with trains, the infrastructure costs are massive and don't scale very well compared to planes.

We used to do it at my previous company, maybe 30-40 engineers, but only 10%. It didn't really work, in the sense that no project went anywhere. Based on the feedback here, it seems to work if you can contribute to external projects,

Windows on ARM is just not particularly compelling. You have a lot more to lose compatibility wise, and likely less performance to gain given that Apple has the better chip and control over both the hardware and software.

I think the 35% on top is the expected improvements of the 888 compared to the 865. On Geekbench, the top 865 is at 887 for single thread compared to 1585 for the A12. If we add 35% to the 865, the expected 888 score is ~1200, still quite b
