YES. This is one of numerous sites that I love that I flat-out don't read because of a lack of full-text RSS.

We're not talking about skills that have fallen out of use over generations and therefore stopped being passed down. The people that used these machines are generally still alive and the younger ones are still part of the workforce. Also, a

It's funny how many of these ads are aimed at "normal people", while "normal people" today would be considered completely incapable of operating machines as (relatively) user-unfriendly as some of these.

Some of git's learning curve reputation is historical. Some good effort as been put into making git less arcane.

Sky falling? No. I do expect that there will be some short-term pain. iOS device owners are pretty well conditioned to expect low app prices from the App Store. Eventually, though, users will adjust. The App Store will have the software the

I'm not surprised it's not higher, as people of that age bracket are increasingly staying at home and delaying their move out of the parental domicile. I bet if the numbers were 25-29 year olds who had all left home, it would be significant

Keepass is brilliant and supported on Linux, Mac, and Windows. I have one super-strong password that I've memorized that encrypts my KeePass database, and then I use Keepass to generate and store random passwords for me.

For a company that was legendary for their perpetual "beta" web apps, they sure do increment those release version numbers on their browser awfully quickly.

The ability to create your own personal walled garden of content topics is key. Sometimes I forget how strange and meme-obsessed Reddit is until I find myself at the front page while logged out. "My" front page is a much less silly place. M

I'm moving from California out to Austin, Texas, and the one thing that I am dismayed over is the lack of FIOS in a tech community like Austin. It comes as little surprise that Austin is pretty much smack dab in the center of the biggest "r

No no, not 13. I said 14. Nobody's coming up with 13. Who makes a web design in 13 minutes? 14's the key number here. Think about it. 14 days in a fortnight. 14 - the atomic number of silicon. 14 stations of the cross. 14, man, that's the n

I really wish Github charged by users and disk space only, and quit with the private repo count limit added on top of that. We wanted to use Github at the (small) company I work for, but we have tons of tiny, low-traffic repos. Since Github
