That may be the border of my english-understanding, but i can prove non-existence of certain things (are they entities?). Since this is currently my seminar-research topic: In the Zermelo–Fraenkel set theory there is only one Urelement. I c

well, a sorting algorithm has to sort arbitrary input, so def sort(ignore) = [1,2,3] does not count. The details are complicated and i am not sure if i am ready to understand the proof, but i think you can even proof that there is no optima

I don't think that this is a sign that computer science lacks a decent unifying theoretical framework. We can even proof that there is no optimal sorting algorithm. "For every sorting algorithm x exists an input i for which an sor

I don't think there is a lack of a unifying theoretical framework. Both the turing machine and the lambda calculus are well understood and the foundations of computer science (and are isomorphic to each other). I think the problem is m

i think one of the major advantages over microsoft approach with Tay is that you can't mess with it on purpose, as long as they choose their subreddits wisely. It will probably learn its fair bit of racial slurs and insults, but thats

Thats interesting, any unemployed CS-Graduate from the UK here? Is it the lack of opportunities or the wrong opportunities that keep you from getting a job? What do you do to improve the situation?

As a CS-Student i can not imagine going into a profession that you can just learn in some university and then just work in it. For me this seems rather absurd, that you can stop learning. You just have to manage that there is always somethi

i din't say that i don't look at source code, but not intuitively. I look at it when the method is very confusing, or i have to optimise one path, it is undocumented and important etc. What i wanted to say is that types give you a
