I just low how this big card gives you the impression that Material Web is still a thing. Then you click on it and the first thing you'll see is "MWC is in maintenance mode" "Material Design is no longer actively staffin

I am incredibly confused why the Material 3 project is growing further and further from a coherent design system to "do whatever you want, there are no rules". The linked "Start building with Material 3 Expressive" artic

I have a local Navidrome server, which I don't really use as a "Spotify alternative" (I don't mirror my casual listened songs) but as a big database of videogame and series/movie soundtracks. It helped me when I tes

To me, it's always wild to see people trying to prove this is "the future" and "no one will ever code again". And then they try to prove it by building a react todo app, something that has been done millions of time

I may also just misunderstand the term itself. From what I've seen, "vibe coding" is used as a term for someone who does not want to go into the details, who does not want to check or adapt the code, who just wants to explain

The problem with this little post is, that vibe coding just is not a "better" way to code. It strips development of something from all the fun developing, from circling around an idea, from figuring out something with your own bra

The fact the entire code of the Source engine comes ontop of that... It makes sense they decided to focus on Source 2 instead...

For what it's worth: The DailyDev plugin only has access to " https://*.daily.dev/ " and " https://*.dailynow.co/ ". It is also not required, you can just go to app.daily.dev yourself

I personally had to use it once to explain to someone higher up why there hasn't been a user-facing feature change in a month. He did not understand that things can change without him seeing it in the frontend and I was in the middle o

I generally like these tools, but I hate how they focus so much on one specific framework. Tailwind is so general, why wouldn't you build a tool that works with Vue, that works with React, that works with Svelte?

On my work device, I have daily.dev installed. Every work day, I usually invest 15-20 minutes of catching up with recent news about all things dev and having it as the "new tab" helps me not forgetting about it. Other than that, y

I generally agree, the fact that the project relies on Google's internal steering is the much bigger factor in this to me. There is no guarantee these 50 devs can actually focus on Flutter, instead they might get looped in in the inter

Most of the Android examples seem to be visually aligned to the 2018-ish Material 2 instead of the 2021 released Material 3 styling, which is a bummer, because it makes apps instantly look dated. I think I would expect more from a 270€ pric

So instead of just using a domain TXT record you're required to host a page and provide access to this file? Seems worse than how AtProto handle's this.

The big problem with this is that content is harder and harder to find. Try to find a non-AI generated reply to a viral post on Twitter, you're looking at having to scroll down 5-6 1080p screens to finally get to some actual stuff peop

The larger follower count comes FROM this project. I've seen a lot of people being really excited for this style and hoping their own tech stack comes next. It's just something cute to celebrate tech.

Omegle was a horrible place that was not moderated enough and enabled groomers. It was also a place that felt very "old school internet" due to the "wild west style".
