Deplatforming still exists while any curated platform still exists, which will (hopefully) be always. It shouldn't be possible for you to end up with nowhere to speak, that's why the public square exists, and I accept there is a n

Except the game still has to be tied to the token somehow. So when you get banned on Steam in that situation, you just have a worthless token that Steam will no longer respect. Some other store is going to respect that token you paid them n

Assuming anything new is bad because of a bad experience seems like a poor lesson to take. Of course you need to know what you are doing still, but pretending humans don't make mistakes even when they know what they are doing is ignori

Is it coincidence that it is so common toxic people end up being the ones "carrying the project", or is it that because they are toxic, they push away other contributors and create a fragile project with a bus factor of one? Seems

The same as every NFT: nothing beyond what everyone agrees to, which right now (and likely forever) is nothing. Well, I suppose separating speculators from their money is another answer.

This argument makes no sense. Even if we completely ignore that some children do in fact die (being rare doesn't stop it being terrible when it happens and worth avoiding), and that even if they don't, suffering while ill is bad:

Pretty sure this isn't true? They have the memory in-package, but the storage is separate AFAIK. I believe they encrypt it with keys in the secure enclave in the SoC so it is tied to that chip, but not actually a part of it.

1) Why does that ignore the science? The evidence I see is that studies are ongoing but generally show no harm from vaccinating those people, and increased protection. If studies show otherwise, then policy makers should change the mandates

Then sell the product with ads and let people decide if they want to buy it with them or get something else. Don't sell someone hardware that operates seemingly without ads, then foist them on the user after-the-fact.
