I also lost couple battles with enterprise sales. Somebody makes a decision and engineering has to deal with it.

It is more enjoyable to work with people who love what they do. I also don’t believe you can be actually very good at something if you not I live with it. That’s it.

If majority doesn’t, why create a process that punishes everyone? People are lying on the resumes is a very common argument made by creators of insane interview processes. It feels weird to start a relationship with a company with assumptio

I was very close to do it and I did a poor job hiding my annoyance. It didn’t stop there. The coding challenge was standard bs done in a glitchy online tool. Yet another clone of coderpad which implemented poorly. I asked the interviewer w

Are yo saying most of candidates commit fraud? Do you have any data on it or just following common sense nonsense?

Well, I actually willing to spend time on a problem, because it is interesting and I can do it in a fun way and learn something new. But I have 0 tolerance policy towards puzzle whiteboarding tests. It is total waste of time.

I disagree. I don’t know based on what you are making claims, but based on my anecdotical experience knowing fundamentals help low level coders to pass interview but has little to do with performing well. Based on my experience (currently r

I always thought that DevOps are developers who can do ops. But in recent years I see more and more people calling themselves DevOps, even all they do is ops with simple scripting. I think we need a new name for developers who run their cod

Who knows, but I bet some sweet deal was involved. When Netflix started using AWS it wasn’t a thing, it was pretty bad datacenter. Even amazon.com wasn’t using aws (contrary to their marketing material).

I think it is time to Lean In and do something, like put your customer first. Honestly, after integrating with your platform 6 years ago, I realized that if you want to post something privately on FB - you just don’t post it.
