We want people to eat salad instead of other food, not in addition to it.

It's not possible for a US phone number to have more than 11 digits including the country code, but additional digits after the number are ignored. You can use this to spell words longer than the number.

Yeah, this seems like an obviously dumb arbitration decision, but I'm pretty sure GEICO are the ones that chose to have this decided through mandatory binding arbitration rather than in front of a judge who might have made a better dec

Their pitch is that while this solution makes less water volume and requires more energy than existing solutions, it doesn't have consumable filters or require regular maintenance for cleaning. So you can just plug it into a solar pane

This doesn't really seem that compelling. I don't believe that in the real world a system like this can produce drinkable water without at least pre-filters that require maintenance. And unless I'm misinformed, the cost and a

I think these mineral weathering programs may make the most sense when applied to the oceans, where they both sequester carbon and directly reduce the ocean acidification that is harming marine life. This is especially the case if wave acti

The rock that's in the soil may not be the correct type, or it may have already reacted, or it may be in chunks that are too large to dissolve on human-relevant timescales. The idea is that you want ultramafic rocks, which are low in n

I can't guarantee it's not the placebo effect, but I've personally felt better since I started taking NOW Ultra Omega 3-D, which is 1200mg of fish oil concentrate containing 900mg of Omega 3s and 1000 IU of Vitamin D. Many br

Denver was a real tragedy. The original point was to be a processor that could run both x86 and ARM code, but Intel managed to win a lawsuit that terminated the x86 license nVidia acquired. That took the wind out of their sales and they nev

UK boilers are rather different from US water heaters. UK boilers run at much higher temperatures and are typically un-insulated or poorly insulated, in order to heat the room that they're contained in. They do make high-temperature he

I worry that there's a hidden issue with maximum power draw. If the camera supplies less maximum current than the drive could potentially draw from an M.2 slot, you might see the card crash in certain situations. This could be the kind

What kind of cost though? Actual silicon/chip cost doesn't matter because it's amortized over so much usage. Energy efficiency matters, but more as it affects achievable density. For most server applications latency is king,

Frankly, ARM server chips have always SEEMED like they held a lot of promise but never delivered on this. If you want power efficiency per-thread, I struggle to see the value of an ARM chip vs a voltage-optimized x64 CPU. It definitely seem

This is basically the dumbest possible take, bordering on Kremlin propaganda. Russia has failed to take even a single major city in Ukraine, after nearly all Western analysts expected them to take Kyiv within 2-3 days. The delays and losses
