Would be very interested to see how this addresses one of the primary underlying pathways of misinformation - confirmation bias. Many people believe information because it confirms their worldview; whether it's provably true or false i

If you consider that their aim was to overturn an election by force, then yes, it was a coup attempt. I think they were counting on the military and law enforcement rank-and-file (which overwhelmingly support Trump) to join them.

Not to mention, in recent years there's been a rise in adoption of Nazi symbology: 88, Nazi salute, swastikas obviously, plus co-opting of Norse runes and symbols they perceive as associated with the Aryan race. But it's not just

I was in the same boat. I used to love the technical aspects of programming, but eventually it just turned into a grind. My solution was to move into management. This is not the right path for everybody, since it's basically a complete

Let's look at this a different way. How many people dealing drugs are doing so because they feel they don't have better prospects. How much does drug abuse cost society? If society took the money they put towards policing, treatme

Given the well-documented penchant of police to use “fits the description” as a pretext to harass the public, especially people of color, I would say it is borderline negligent to allow the use of algorithmically generated probable cause ju

I disagree about the college format going completely online. There is so much about the college experience that is not directly related to earning a degree. It's a place where most people are exposed to new ideas, new types of people.
