Summer hour to me always meant it wasn't uncouth to leave an hour early during the week or take a full day or half day on Friday. Really it's just more relaxed hours.

“By sheer intellectual force, plus some argument and banging on the table, he maintained architectural consistency across six engineering teams,” said Frederick P. Brooks Jr. This is one of the more impressive things to me. Keeping that man

So what numbers do you have to pump it to until you get your money back?

This was really good, a few things about it really surprised me since my understanding of the history of TB was pretty lacking. Really recommend checking it out.

First thing in a while I have been disappointed in from Amazon. Pretty crappy move.

Wow, I had not heard about this before. For the price and spec that can't be beat. I would've expected the maker scene to blow up over this but I haven't heard anything. I have a ton of projects that could leverage this. How

I'm really sorry for all those people. Nothing worse than losing your job. I hope they at least get a good severance. It's a pretty mis-run company that is now having a lot of human collateral damage. Really sad.

Yeah I think it's pretty nice too. Works really well with the material design elements for most their applications.

The average age of founders in YC startups is 29, that's not really straight out of college. I think you might actually have misconceptions of what YC does. It's not a school for sure.

Beat me to it, I could not for the life of me remember what they were called. Thanks for the link.

Then don't rent an office? I really don't know what you think the alternative would be. I assume the value comes from not having to work by a flaming barrel down by the river.

That one kind of surprised me, I expected Altman to be above that.

Basically what I'm reading is it probably would have been more prudent just to light the 116 million dollar investment on fire and not waste everyone's time. These are terrible ideas.

So the solution to their overpriced bloated menu, is to add more stuff to the menu? Good luck with that.

Typically in most systems, you need a quorum to hold a vote of any kind. I'm really not sure why you can only vote with 30 out of 577 in the French Assembly.

Kind of my question. Why can't they use one of the standard open frequencies like 433mhz? I assume there is some reason, maybe broadcast distance and strength for bigger yards?

This is pretty typical for HN. You get a lot of techno libertarians who think any form of regulation is the worst thing ever. To say that the new classification is somehow going to be worse I think is a bit of a stretch.

Looks very nice. Small deal, but the web fonts appear to be getting blocked for me so you may want to host those on the same domain. Keep up the good work!

Sorry, should have made myself more clear. Wasn't trying to directly address the content of the article, which is largely positive as you said.

What Mayer has been tasked with is an almost impossible mission, just stopping the free fall is impressive in it's own right. People really love to dig on her, and I can't help but think it's largely because she is a woman. S

I feel like it's going pretty fast. Do Google or Facebook even officially support IE8 anymore? I think the quicker the issue is forced the better it is for everyone. IE9 is at the very least pretty acceptable to deal with. Edit: Looks

Plus if you lose you wallet, or something horrible happens when you have cash, it's gone. There is a bit of a hassle replacing cards, but you don't just lose your money.

I don't think it was like the PT Cruiser which was just garbage both in and out. The Aztek was just a really ugly car, and I think that was more than enough to kill it.
