Is it really that hard to run an IRC network? (I say this with experience running infrastructure for an IRC network, albeit orders of magnitude smaller)

Out of curiosity, why are there so many people crawling sites for prices like what you're talking about? All of the freelance sites are... well, crawling with jobs involving web scrapers. What's the business here that I'm

It took me like 30s to figure out the change, and I haven't had any problems with it since. Not sure this is going to topple the company. I think this is a case of, "I do this for a living so it's super duper important"

I wish your world existed. It doesn't, however, and minority groups need advantages over me in order to get the kinds of jobs I can get. I hope we can move past this some day, but that's not happening today.

I'm okay with it, because I can get a job elsewhere. Some minorities can't. I don't need to be able to get a job at GitHub, because for some stupid reason, society has a general bias in favor of me. I can work anywhere, bu

I dunno if this is kosher, but if someone who qualifies wants to go through the process of applying and posting the rates, there would be a wealth of gratitude in it for you.

I was thinking about this earlier, and while I've been in the industry ~8 years, I've only worked at two companies, and they've both had some pretty fundamental dysfunctions from a strategy/leadership/management per

Can't they just get another payment processor? Aren't there dozens, if not hundreds, of payment processing companies out there? Surely someone will pick up these gigantic clients.

Yeah, IIRC most engines just blunder every once in a while depending on the difficulty setting. rather than playing consistently less strong moves, or something like that.

It'd be pretty damn cool if Lyft/Uber/Instacart/etc. could find a way to give their drivers benefits. I hope this ends up in Lyft doing more than just "looking into" those things. There's got to be a wa

I'm a little sick of the word "poor" being used in lieu of the word "stupid". There are genuinely poor people, and there are people who are too stupid to follow basic common sense laws. Maybe some of these folks ac

Yes, I'm sure we can sit around conjuring up absolute worst case scenarios where a mother of 3 was fined for unloading her kid at school, and she can't miss work again because one of her kids has a medical condition so she sometim

I feel bad for those folks, but maybe they should have worked harder to not break the law if the payments were truly going to cost them so dearly. Also, judges will allow you to provide evidence of your financial situation to the court, a

This isn't like Reddit, self promotion is encouraged. I don't think it's a rule violation as-is, but it's kind of funny, because I don't think, if this is actually astroturfing, it's necessary to lie about it.
