That's what I've heard. I passed on Obsidian for some other reasons, but during my eval I was pretty sure if I was to stick with it I'd pay for their sync service.

I’ve tried a number of notes apps backed with “Sync with iCloud Drive” and often find it problematic. Usually the problems are on the Mac side, wherein my laptop does a bad job of pushing up small edits to existing files. I can force it wit

I’m a huge fan of learnxinyminutes! Even if I’m planning to go through the larger guide/docs, I find x-in-y is the best way to get a general feel for the breadth and style of the language.

>Every to-do list is, ultimately, about death. This succinctly captures something I've thought more about as I've gotten older (now 47). This is especially true around the "Someday/Maybe" category in my system. S

The eBook bundle is $49 which is perhaps a little higher than average but doesn’t seem unreasonable.

I'm just hoping that Bear 2.0 (or whatever the big next version they've been working on for a long time is called) doesn't undo Bear. While Bear isn't perfect and there are a few features that are sorely missing (searc

My only mildly successful mobile app was on Blackberry. It offered encrypted notes and was predominantly purchased by wall st traders and... users from Indonesia. The market for it was always a curiosity to me.

Nice job, this works pretty well! I will say, however, that the background animation (even on the landing page, before sending) spinning up my laptop fans is a bit unwelcome. (Only tried FF.)

How has maintenance & bug fixing been? I'm OK with mature apps stabilizing and needing few updates, though since it is a single dev with somewhat infrequent changes I thought I'd ask ( https://updates.mailmate-app.co

I work remote now and like it, but I'm not really sure how well that would have played out for me right out of school. Almost all of my social network, from friends to future wife, flowed through those in-person jobs. I was (am) very i

Buynothing is the only reason I have a token FB account. It works extremely well. We probably gift something for porch pickup at least once a week. It’s really efficient.

I occasionally write HTML/CSS, and have always just grabbed Bootstrap, Pure, something. I've briefly looked at TailwindCSS a couple of times and always end up at: where are the some of the common, basic components? It seems like t

I actively avoid trying to let nostalgia creep in too often. I don’t spend much time reminiscing, listening to old music, rewatching things, looking at pictures, etc. This seems to not match what most of my cohort does, but I recognized a c
