   I use a Google Voice number for this task. To me it seems more secure, and privacy of carrier SMS vs. GV is debatable. It's also "portable" so I can switch carriers and a phone's actual number without switching my 2FA p

   Vanguard VTSAX. Or the equivalent ETF with symbol VTI. This mirrors what others are saying, just a specific recommendation so you don't need to bother with much research. Total Stock Market Index fund with 0.04% expense ratio.
