You can make it do that. You can have different search domains for different shortcuts. With how I customized it, I hit apple+space to do normal stuff, option apple space to use it to access tho menu bar commands, etc. You could set one

To my eyes it's an improvement. Not perfect. I think you should put the arrows to the left side, use simpler arrow graphics, and indicate the arrows are linked to the points by making them the same color. Then, make the 1, 2, 3 a lighter

You'd have to go to a medical library to do research, or pay 15 dollars per article. There are easily 2 or 3 hundred bucks worth of journal articles (at 15 or 20 a pop) that are required reading. The most valuable articles will be studies
