We should seriously consider and question what peer review is. Peer review is very obviously not essential for science, as the most astounding science, which gave us the modern era we all have come to enjoy, was done without peer review. In

Agreed, it's unfortunate to say but I think it should be noted. We on HN are not immune to this.

This is a myopic and western centered view, true of a subset of western civilization, largely due to authoritarian rule (e.g. you can't hunt the King's game, even if you're starving). Meat consumption is how a vast amount of

Or it's not a forceful move at all. Maybe YC requires more dedication than Altman could provide to both it and OpenAI. You print off companies as if being a CEO is just being a CEO, and as if Musk doesn't work an unhealthy amount

Why would that be presumable when his goodbye statement clearly states the opposite? This is baseless fear mongering given that.

The reasoning seems a bit loose. Maybe they are being targeted, and are yet undetected. Maybe Russians have otherwise successfully found vulns jn Telegram enough (or other vectors) that it doesn't require high effort targeting for now.

Can you point out the lies? I'm genuinely trying to find them, and the CFPB article does not provide any evidence other than a few marketing quotes. I'm very sure all the ISA issues are clearly stated in the contract. Everything i

> No, but you can expect none of them to have been lied to. The CFPB report really doesn't make this obvious. All I've seen in this thread and in the CFPB statement are claims with nothing to back them up. The worst I've s

This a sad amount of dog piling for HN. I know dozens of students who attended and turned their lives around because of the program. I see Lambda Alumni on every page of LinkedIn job boards. I'm sure some people had a bad time, but all

I'll defend Momoa as a choice, I think he fits the role perfectly and the exception of Game of Thrones shows he could have done something different with it. Chalamet I agree was miscast, but I would go further because I thought Zendaya

I don't know about the motivations, but the point seems valid. I agree WorldCoin is creepy. Is the corporate structure then working as intended with regard to firing Sam, but still failed because of the sellout to Microsoft?
