I'm in my 30s and still pretty open minded with music, and don't listen to all that much of my teenage years stuff. I think I just sacrificed my ability to enjoy new video games instead.

I like the idea of these. As a native English speaker I'd be more comfortable with a sort of code/dialect switch when talking to ESL speakers, rather than worrying about them when I talk normally. Like let me keep my language the

For people who live in oppressive regimes where certain political speech is illegal, like China or the UK, anonymity is a powerful tool. I would not want to take that away from them.

The Scythians raised a cup in toast to their King Attila, and Maximinus proposed that the toast should also be to our lord Theodosius. At this, Bigilas spoke out, saying that it was not right that a god and a man should be compared in such

Interesting that it was still seen as obvious that the emperor was a God, given that Theodisus II's grandfather had made christianity the state religion.

There's something very, very energising to me about a mob of people physically dealing with corrupt rulers. A sort of pure expression of democracy.

There's really no need for libc on Linux, each language should just implement it's standard library on top of syscalls. Rustix is a great implementation of that idea https://docs.rs/rustix/latest/rustix
