Speaking as the operator of a similarly themed site, allowing drive-by downloads is a huge target for malware uploaders.

The H on the end confuses people because it's usually not really a H, it's a modernisation of the séimhiú. I can't find any decent articles on it, but basically it used to be represented by a dot over the letter it was affecting. Unfortunat

Of course I understand why PHP is popular, I've used it for long enough. My expression of exasperation was at the jumps of logic you were making.

You extrapolated some fantasy and strawmanned the parent, that makes you a douche. > I guess that the reason you don't understand why php is so popular is that you never built anything. What. > you probably just play with the latest

I doubt that, I know of a few companies running PHP on Azure because they like it and others running PHP on Windows servers because their IT dept refuses to support Linux.

They're running a patch level update in production, not a development preview . There are obviously going to be substantially fewer changes between 5.4.8 - 5.4.9 and 5.4.8 - 5.5.0

You cannot do it in drive-by format like you can with a GET. It's passive and can be posted almost anywhere, message boards, email, Facebook.

You accept comment submission via GET requests? I may not have reverse engineered it fully, but something like this will allow me to post images around the internet that actually create comments on your site by the IP of the visitor. <i
